This photo was taken just before

the house was moved in 1971. 

The local school grounds were expanding and it was in the best interest of the community to move

the house.  Remarkably, it was not completely demolished. 

The vertical line shown on this photo is drawn through the middle of the house using a ball point pen and along with the hand written text indicates what part of the house was “to be moved” and what part was “be torn down.”
