Deconstruction is not pretty.

It can, however, prove to be

pretty amazing.

One such example is this 266-year old original “central chimney”

Colonial set for demolition by a new owner.  The site was just outside the Southampton Village Historic District without a legal way to deny the owner a demolition permit.  We assembled and funded a team to rescue this house just a few steps from Gin Lane and the Atlantic Ocean.  Working to meet a 30-day deadline and enduring intense August heat, we took it apart to save it..... Piece by piece.
