1835 Palazzo, Milan, Italy

Housed in a 19th-Century building, the two-story 4000 sq.ft. space, designed by furniture-maker-turned-architect Robert Strada, was gutted and retrofitted with modern steel supports.  With its shiny caramel-colored pear wood walls, matching fixtures, and travertine marble floors, the shop is a connoisseur’s confection.
